Job Responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Teach criminal justice courses to a diverse student body using effective teaching strategies. Maintains a high level of excellence in teaching by communicating and interacting effectively with students enrolled in courses.
2. Prepares materials needed for course instruction and testing. Keeps student records and adheres to course schedules.
3. Utilize learning management systems to communicate with students. Conducts lectures, discussions, and other teaching activities. Relates instruction and material to course objectives.
4. Provides students with course syllabi and correlates grade assignment with skill and course competency.
5.Submits grades, reports, and records in a timely manner.
*Flexible teaching schedule required (i.e. day and/or evening). Courses may be delivered in various formats: distance education; online; hybrid; in-person; on-campus, and/or dual enrollment.
Minimum and Additional Requirements A master's degree in criminal justice or a master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in criminal justice.
Preferred Qualifications Post secondary teaching experience preferred.
