Job Summary: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Corporate Project Engineer to join their team in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing engineering projects related to the design, development, and improvement of packaging products and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to develop and implement innovative packaging solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for new projects and process improvements.
  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including specifications, schedules, and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production teams during the implementation of new processes and equipment.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in the plastic packaging industry.
  • Strong knowledge of plastic materials, manufacturing processes, and packaging technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
