Job Title: Driver’s Helper

Reports to: Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Division: Georgetown, NC

Summary :

Responsible for assisting drivers with daily tasks in a friendly and efficient manner. Represents the company in a highly professional, safe, and cost-effective manner that complies with DOT and other applicable regulations.

Job Duties :

• Assists drivers with the following:
  1. Performs pre-checklist of truck and Moffett prior to loading
  2. Delivers orders in a timely fashion
  3. Partners with contractors on placement of materials
  4. Pulls orders for delivery and assists walk-in customers
  5. Assists with clean-up of the yard and warehouse
• Performs other duties, as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements :

• Superior customer service
• Professional demeanor
• Ability to effectively communicate information to dispatch and customers
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence

Education/Experience :

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred, but not required.

Work Environment :

While performing this job’s duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 200 pounds.

Additionally, custom millwork and prefab components are built-in Pineville, which also sources and fabricates exotic wood products like reclaimed lumber flooring, siding, cabinetry, and mantles.
