Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver's Assistant. In this role, you will work alongside our delivery drivers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the delivery driver in loading and unloading goods onto the delivery vehicle.
2. Navigate delivery routes using GPS or provided maps.
3. Help in the verification of delivery items to ensure accuracy.
4. Call customers prior to delivery to confirm.
5. Provide excellent customer service during delivery by being courteous and professional.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
7. Communicate effectively with the delivery driver and customers.
8. Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while handling goods and operating delivery vehicles.
9. Assist in other warehouse tasks as needed.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Prior experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
3. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Bilingual proficiency (preferred) in Spanish.
6. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if required to drive).
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Flexibility to work Saturdays as needed.
