We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Email Marketing Strategist to join our Integrated Marketing Department at Athena. The role will focus on building out comprehensive email marketing communications programs and campaigns for two Fortune 500 companies. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in email marketing, with a proven ability to strategize communications strategies, draft communications effectively, and utilize data to improve performance for both brand awareness and conversion campaigns. This role requires strong project management skills and meticulous attention to detail. 

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute email marketing strategies, including drip and behavioral campaigns to support a variety of goals 
• Collaborate with clients to build and maintain editorial calendars 
• Design personalized customer journeys and segment email lists based on behavioral data, preferences, and engagement history 
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output 
• Analyze email campaign performance and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement 
• Optimize email performance through A/B testing, personalization, and data-driven insights 
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in email marketing

The skills and experience you should have:

• 5+ years of experience in email marketing 

• Strong writing and editing skills 

• Excellent project management abilities 

• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work 

• Experience with audience segmentation and targeted messaging, including brand awareness and conversion campaigns 

• Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams 

• Proficiency in email marketing tools and analytics platforms 

It’s a plus if you have:

• Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools and data management 

• Familiarity with GDPR and email compliance regulations
