Title: Excavator Operator
Compensation: Commensurate with experience.  

Employment type: Full-Time - 40+ hours/week.

Work schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 4:00pm.
Overtime: Required to meet business demands.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA.

Summary:

The crane operator will be unloading scrap trailers by operating equipment such as material handlers, equipped with a hydraulic free swinging grapple. Will also provide pre-shift and end of shift inspections and is responsible for greasing and daily upkeep of equipment and work areas.

Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of the Excavator with a grapple loading requirements; material shipping specifications; weight thresholds.
• Safely operate machinery under the direction of the Operations Manager and/or Production Lead. 
• Performs routine maintenance on excavator such as lubricating, fueling and cleaning.
• Safe Handling and/or moving material.
• Effective communication with all site personnel.
• Maintain daily logs of equipment usage, maintenance, etc.
• Daily maintenance of equipment.
• Identify, report, correct and/or prevent hazards.

Qualification:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Heavy equipment certification is a plus.
• 1 plus years of heavy equipment operation experience.
