West Henderson Hospital is currently under construction and is expected to open in late 2024. When it does it will be the seventh acute care hospital in The Valley Health System. It will be located at the southwest corner of Raiders Parkway and St. Rose Parkway, near the Las Vegas Raiders' headquarters. When the hospital opens it will feature:

• A 37-bay emergency department
• Surgical suites including heart and hybrid suites.

• An electrophysiology lab to treat heart rhythm disorders
• An interventional radiology/special procedures lab to treat neurological disorders.

Job Description:

Performs venipunctures and other patient specimen collections. Has thorough knowledge of testing and collection requirements. Trains and serves as a resource for phlebotomists and lab assistants. Ensures competency of phlebotomists and lab assistants and consults with appropriate individuals to resolve problems and issues.

Shift: FULL TIME VARIED

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Completion of a phlebotomy training Education program required.

Experience:

2 year phlebotomy experience. Lead or supervisor experience preferred

Technical Skills:

Phlebotomy, specimen processing, customer service

License/Certification:

Phlebotomy certification required upon hire (Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care analyst license may be substituted for certification). Licensed Practical Nurse, License Advanced EMT and Licensed Paramedic are also accepted. If national certification then Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care Analyst licensure with the State of Nevada within 6 months of hire

Note:

Prefer previous experience as a Lab Assistant, phlebotomist, emergency room technician, LPN or paramedic with phlebotomy skill set
