SECURITY OFFICER | SECURITY ENTHUSIAST (FULL-TIME)

Position Summary:

Responsible for the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel property.

Essential Functions:

1. Escort guests to their room when necessary.
2. Assist with overnight room deliveries and housekeeping/maintenance requests.
3. Patrol the building multiple times throughout the night to ensure that all is in order per hotel standards.
4. Handle unruly guests.
5. Prepare shift reports.
6. Monitor surveillance cameras and change security tapes per standards.
7. Respond to emergencies as needed.
8. Walk public areas to check for safety violations.
9. Investigate and take first report for accidents, injuries and/or disturbances that take place in the hotel.
10. Call police when necessary.
11. Knowledge of the hotel emergency procedures.
12. Escort employees to their cars when necessary.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.
- The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.

Education and Experience:

- Previous security experience.

Skills and Abilities:

- Must be able to handle pressure situations calmly.
- Ability to work independently.
