Job Title: Powder Coat Technician - 1st Shift Job Description We are seeking a skilled Powder Coat Technician to join our team on the 1st shift. This position requires an individual who is experienced in painting industrial equipment using spray systems and a powder coat line. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and cleaning spray guns, understanding paint mills, changing wet tanks and feed hoppers, performing color/powder changes, maintaining the wash line, priming parts before painting, and conducting quality checks on finished products.
Responsibilities - Painting industrial equipment using spray systems and a powder coat line.
- Setting up and cleaning spray guns.
- Understanding and measuring mills of paint.
- Changing wet tanks and feed hoppers.
- Performing color/powder changes and understanding different paints such as enamel and acrylic.
- Maintaining the wash line.
- Priming parts before painting.
- Conducting quality checks on finished products.
Essential Skills - Experience in industrial painting and powder coating.
- Proficiency with spray systems.
- Knowledge of paint pressures and mills.
- Experience with acrylic, enamel, and other types of paint.
- Ability to set up and clean spray guns.
Additional Skills & Qualifications - Experience with color/powder changes.
- Ability to maintain a wash line.
- Understanding and measuring mills of paint.
- Experience with various spray guns and pressure pots.
- Knowledge of different paint types, including epoxies, acrylics, and enamels.

Work Environment This position operates on the 1st shift from 5:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays. The work environment is located in the historic Hoover Building in North Canton, featuring 200,000 sq ft of space. The facility is dedicated to building substations, switchgear, circuit breakers, bus ducts, and other electrical systems. The work environment is mostly quiet and clean, requiring steel toe boots and safety glasses.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NORTH CANTON, Ohio
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
