Job Description

Salt Lake City Marriott University Park is a beautiful hotel near the University of Utah with gorgeous mountain and city views, modern amenities and an excellent location adjacent to Rice-Eccles Stadium, our hotel provides smart, stylish lodging for business and leisure travelers visiting the Salt Lake City area. Responsible to lead daily operations of the restaurant. Provide quality beverages, such as espresso drinks and Coffee of the Week, Whole Bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.

• Uphold brand standards and maintain consistency
• Direct and organize the activities of the team to maintain high standards of beverage quality, presentation, creativity, consistency and service
• Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses and maximize profitability related to the department.
• Follow all service standards set by Company and Starbucks
• Ensure all Team members follow service standards set by Company and Starbucks
• Follow all Health Department rules and standards
• Supervises daily operations

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year previous supervisory experience in a restaurant environment
• Barista experience is preferred
• Proven experience in providing guest satisfaction by delivery of an exceptional product through employee development.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, plan and prioritize workload, handle confidential and sensitive information and manage resources to ensure that established service levels are achieved at all times

Physical Requirements:

•Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.

•Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.

•Hearing, writing, typing.

•Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.

•Other duties may be assigned.
